I am alive!!
I am alive! A crafting accident, a trip to the ER, and 2 stitches later I’m finally healed up and doing well! But work has been a little stressful and keeping me busy! However, I’m off for 9 days and plan to fill you in on everything that has happened since I abandoned you! There is my crafting injury, my projects, my failed craft show, Halloween projects, & my pending christmas projects!

Super Sale Saturday!
I picked this shelf up for a dollar! It is perfect for just inside the bedroom door. It allows my husband to have a place for his keys and wallet and me to hang my purse. It was a great purchase to help keep us organized and clean! Plus black twisted/curled metal is a big reoccurring theme in our design style!

Super Sale Saturday!
This is something I have been looking for since we bought our house in March! It is a blow dryer holder. My Mom had one when I was growing up and it always made it so much easier to keep the counters free of clutter! This one isn’t my normal stlye and doesn’t match the theme I am eventually planning on going with in the bathroom, but for now it is a sanity saver! I had been looking for ways to make one of these, but had no sucess. Maybe you’ll have better luck!

Quick Update
The back to school time has also taken me back to work. I’m not neglecting the blog, and do have lots more to post as soon as the first few weeks settle down I hope to photograph a few Halloween tutorials and some baby stuff tutorials. (Since Everyone I know is pregnant!) Thanks for staying with me through this readjusting period!

Super Sale Saturday!
Okay this is not some sick display that would regularly be in my house, but it does show 3 Super Sales! The candle holder sconce was picked up for 50 cents!! It is about 2 ft wide and a little over 1 ft tall. The candles came in a pack of 8 that my mom picked up for 2 bucks at a yard sale. She was nice enough to give me 6 for my display since she was only using 2. The skulls were picked up for a quarter and will probably be displayed in the above pictured position as part of my Halloween party decorations! It was a very productive day of shopping!

Cup Cake Flower Arrangements
I used my Mom’s birthday as an excuse to attempt to make a cupcake flower arrangement. I found a bundt pan at a yard sale and liked its cup cake esque shape and from there I was OFF! 
In the future I think I’d make this using the Silicone Cupcake Molds, but I’ve yet to find them on a super sale or in a yard sale! Look below the cut for my tutorial on how to make this cute gift! Read the rest of this post »

Super Sale Saturday!
It seems that my Saturday finds have really been in the Toilet lately! Last week was Cooking With Pooh and this week is a yellow toilet that I got for the bargain price of 50 cents! I plan on using as a candy dish or to serve dip out of at a crazy party! Probably bean dip! So gross! After the cut you can see more pictures and see how I added the hinge to make the lid functional! What’Cha Up To Wednesday!
Current Mood: DENIAL! I can’t believe school starts so soon! I go back to work on MONDAY…. It is the dreaded last week of summer….. I always get into such a funk the last week of summer.
Current Reading: I just finished reading For Women Only: What You Need to Know about the Inner Lives of Men by Shaunti Feldhahn it is the current book club over at Simple Mom. As I wrap up this book I am starting Not Buying It: My Year with out shopping by Judith Levine Don’t get too excited, just because I’m reading it doesn’t mean i’m ready to tackle the experiment myself! Just consider it reaserch to satisfy my inner tightwad!
Current Projects: Planning a house warming and beer tasting party, trying to wrap up all my unfinished projects before school starts, and procrastinating as much as possible!
Current Plans: This Saturday the Hubby and I are headed out shopping. We’ll do some of our normal yard saleing, plus hit up staples for teacher appreciation day, then head to the mall to redeem some free undies from victoria secrets, free soap from bath and body works, and $10 free at Kohls! It should be a day filled with shopping with out spending any (or at least not much) money!
